AiMsg (the "Service", available at https://aimsg.in) is operated by VVV Chemicals Limited, Plot No. 88, Competent Industrial Park, Faridpur, Distt. Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have.
1. What the Service does
The Service is a web inbox that lets a business send and receive WhatsApp messages with its own customers using the official WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. A business connects its own WhatsApp Business number; its team members then read and reply to customer messages in one place.
2. Information we handle
a) Business account users (people who log in to the Service): name, email address, a password (stored only as a one-way hash), role, login times and IP address used for security and abuse prevention.
b) WhatsApp conversation data, processed on behalf of the business: the customer's WhatsApp phone number and profile name, the content of messages exchanged with the business (text, images, voice notes, videos, documents, locations, contacts), timestamps, and delivery/read status. We receive this data from Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform only for numbers that a business has connected to the Service.
c) Technical data: a session cookie that keeps you logged in, and short-lived server logs of incoming webhook events used for troubleshooting.
3. How we use information
- To show conversations in the business's inbox and to send the replies its team writes.
- To display delivery and read status, and to keep the inbox in sync.
- To secure accounts, prevent misuse and fix technical problems.
- To communicate with business users about the Service.
We do not sell personal information, we do not use WhatsApp conversation data for advertising, and we do not use it to build profiles of customers.
4. Data received from Meta
When a business connects its number, the Service uses the WhatsApp Business Platform permissions granted by that business (such as whatsapp_business_messaging and whatsapp_business_management) only to receive and send that business's messages and to read basic details of its connected phone number. This data is used solely to provide the Service to that business and is handled in line with the Meta Platform Terms and WhatsApp Business policies.
5. Our role and the business's role
For WhatsApp conversation data, the business that connected the number decides why and how it communicates with its customers; we process that data on the business's instructions to provide the Service. Each business is responsible for obtaining any opt-in or consent required before messaging its customers.
6. Sharing
- Meta / WhatsApp — messages are sent and received through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform.
- Hosting provider — our servers and database are run by a hosting company under contract.
- Legal reasons — if required by law, court order or to protect rights and safety.
Data of one business is never shown to another business using the Service.
7. Retention
Conversation data is kept for as long as the business keeps its account active, or until the business or the person concerned asks us to delete it. Webhook troubleshooting logs are deleted automatically after about 7 days. Copies of media files are stored only to display them in the inbox and are deleted together with the conversation.
8. Security
We use HTTPS for all traffic, store WhatsApp access tokens encrypted (AES-256), store passwords only as hashes, verify that incoming webhook events are signed by Meta, and keep each business's data separated. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect information against unauthorised access.
9. Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. Customers who messaged a business may also contact that business directly. To request deletion, follow the steps on our Data Deletion page. We aim to comply with applicable laws, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
10. Children
The Service is meant for businesses and is not directed to children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
